Birmingham Airport guide
As befits England's second city, Birmingham has an airport of which it can be proud. Not only is Birmingham International Airport in a superb location adjacent to the hub of the Motorway network, but it is also well served by public transport. There is a train station, also Birmingham International, right on the doorstep. The station is linked to the Airport by Skyrail an automatic train that runs every two minutes and only takes two minutes from terminal to station.
The National Exhibition Centre is located just the other side of the rail line from the Airport and is easily accessible from the terminal.
Birmingham International has two terminals, Eurohub (Terminal 2) and the main terminal, Terminal 1. There are over 50 airlines flying to over 100 destinations from Birmingham, including transatlantic services to Chicago and Newark NJ.
Birmingham Airport Eurohub
This is the newer of the two terminals at Birmingham and offers a pleasant travel experience to the user.
The terminal offers all the usual facilities, including shops, car hire desks and refreshment areas. BA Self service check-in is available in the check-in concourse.
The new Executive lounge will be Eurohub's premier feature; further promoting Birmingham as the most popular Business Traveller airport in the country.
Birmingham Airport Main Terminal
This is the older of the two terminals at Birmingham and has recently had extensive refurbishment works carried out.
The Main terminal handles all the charter flights and scheduled flights operated by airlines other than BA & American.
The Main Terminal has far more shops than Eurohub including high street names such as WH Smith.
