Cardiff Airport Guide
Cardiff Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the UK. Not only does it handle scheduled and holiday flights to many destinations, it is a major maintenance base for British Airways.
The single terminal now handles in excess of 2 million passengers per year. Facilities have fortunately kept pace with the expansion of traffic over the years and it can safely said that travelling through Cardiff is generally as pleasant an experience as one could wish.
There is short stay parking is just by the terminal building, handy for those dropping off or picking up passengers. Long stay parking is best booked in advance to secure the best deal. A short shuttle bus ride may be necessary to convey passengers from the car park to the terminal building or vice-versa. It is best to allow 15-30 minutes for this including unloading the car.
Due to its elevation of 220 feet, Cardiff International Airport has the second best weather record in the UK (after Glasgow Prestwick Airport), so travellers can depend on the reliability of the services to and from the airport.
