Cardiff Airport - How to get there
By Road
Cardiff Airport is at Rhoose, 12 miles west of Cardiff city centre. From England take the M4 to Junction 33, take the road south towards Barry, then take the A4226 west, the airport is clearly signposted.
From Wales take the M4 to Junction 33 and follow the directions above.
From the North of England take the M50, which becomes the A40 to its junction with the A449, then take the A449 to the M4 at Newport and follow the M4 to Junction 33 as above.
By Rail
Work has just started on a new station adjacent to Cardiff International Airport at Rhoose. The new station is expected to open in Spring 2005.
The nearest mainline station is Cardiff Central, direct trains run to here from London, the South East and the South West and the North of England. There is a bus service to the airport from the Bus Station that is right next to Cardiff Central rail station.
The nearest train station is Barry Town, 5 miles from the airport, trains run from Cardiff to Barry Town approximately every 15 minutes.
By Bus
A Shuttle Bus Transfer is available from Cardiff Central Train and Bus station. Call +44 (0)345 484950 for all enquiries.
Service numbers 345, X91, X45 and X5 run between the airport and Cardiff town centre.
By Coach
