Manchester Airport is adjacent to the M56 Motorway, with access to the airport directly from Junction 5 of the Motorway. For travellers arriving from the north, south or Wales the M56 Motorway from its interchange with the M6 Motorway offers the best approach. From the east the M60 Motorway that encircles Manchester will be the best approach to the M56.

By Rail

With its own railway station connected to the terminals by Skylinks, Manchester Airport has excellent connections to the national rail network. There are direct services to many local destinations as well as service to Manchester, Birmingham and London.

By Taxi

There taxi ranks outside each of the terminals. All the taxis at these ranks must be licensed by Manchester City Council and in addition hold a supplementary license issued by Manchester Airport Plc. The traveller may therefore use these taxis with confidence.
